Subject: An Important Update from The Blue Plaid Society
Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with a full heart and deep gratitude that I share important news regarding the future of The Blue Plaid Society.
When I founded this organization in February 2022, it was born from love, grief, and a fierce desire to create change following the loss of my beloved son, Tristan. Over the past several years, together we have raised critical awareness about the dangers of illicit fentanyl, distributed lifesaving Narcan, supported countless families, and educated communities far and wide. I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished.
After much reflection, I have made the very difficult decision to close The Blue Plaid Society. This decision does not come easily, especially knowing how many lives have been touched through our efforts. However, I believe it is time for me to step back and focus on my health and the next chapter of my life, carrying forward the memories and lessons from this journey with deep respect and gratitude.
As part of this transition, we will be canceling our participation in a few upcoming events. We are notifying event organizers individually to ensure that they have time to make alternate arrangements. We will fullfill our bulk Narcan pipeline for the month of May, and then our service will end. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Please know that while The Blue Plaid Society will be stepping back, the mission to prevent fentanyl poisoning and save lives must and will continue through the efforts of many other dedicated individuals and organizations. I encourage you to stay involved, stay educated, and continue being a voice for change.
Thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for standing with us. Your support, kindness, and belief in this mission have meant more than words could ever express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Suzy Pereira

What is Fentanyl?
Fentanyl is one of the world’s most deadly drugs. It is an extremely powerful synthetic opioid, that when ingested can lead to sudden death. It is 100x more powerful than morphine, with a lethal amount being 2 mgs. There is no safe dosage of illicit fentanyl.

Overdose vs Poisoning

Death by fentanyl is a
poisoning,
not an overdose.
